I don’t often get giddy at product releases, but Decked’s new D-Co Kegger made me squeal a little. A little kegerator right in my Decked Drawer System? I can just imagine the tailgate fun after a long day on the trails or overlanding through the desert.

It’s the only kegerator system designed specifically for the Decked Drawer System. No refrigeration is required; just tap your keg and start pouring — no electricity required either.

You will, however, need a tank of CO2, which you’ll need to buy separately. Decked says a 5-pound CO2 tank fills 6-8 half-barrels.

With this setup, you can tap a standard, full, or half keg. The beer gets cooled through heat exchanged coils, which works when you add ice and water (also sold separately).

to get rolling, find a perfect spot for sippin’. Pull out the D-Co Kegger and assemble it. Fill it with ice and water. Thread on the gas regulator and CO2 tank. Connect tap and tap your keg. Turn on the CO2, adjust it to 25psi to pressurize the keg. Vent a l’il gas, open the faucet to release trapped air, and wait for suds to flow.

After that, wait 15 minutes or so to get the beer frosty cold. You can start sipping right away if you don’t mind lukewarm beer, but come on. The patience pays off in this case.

Once the beer’s cold, pour away, enjoy the view, share with friends (unless your friends are squirrels. Don’t get the squirrels drunk.)

The D-Co Kegger includes the faucet, faucet handle, regulator, tap, hoses, and hose clamps. YOu’ll probably want to invest in a cleaning kit, and Decked even makes a recommendation for one that will work perfectly

It costs $400 and is available now on Decked’s website, but you’ll have to act fast. The company is limiting the D-Co Kegger to just 100 units.
